At Encore Music, every drum lesson room is equipped with a mesh-head drum kit for our students to get the feeling of an acoustic kit. Our instructors teach rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues and many other styles of drumming, and challenge every student with technical exercises specifically designed to improve their speed and comfort. Beginning students need only their drumsticks and a notebook, and all that’s needed for practice at home is an inexpensive drum pad. Drummers are encouraged to bring in their favorite drum parts to learn. Many of our students are band members who play in local clubs and churches.

What styles of drumming do you teach?
Our drum instructors teach all styles, from rock and metal to pop, jazz, funk, country, and blues.
How qualified are your drum instructors?
Our drum faculty are graduates of prestigious institutions such as USC, Berklee and North Texas University. Many have toured the US and Europe, bringing an abundance of performance and recording experience to your lessons. But most importantly, they are all engaging educators!
What will I learn from drum lessons at Encore Music?
Our instructors challenge our students with wide-ranging technical exercises designed to improve speed and comfort. Drum language can be complex, and theory is encouraged. Students can bring in their favorite drum parts to learn in their lessons.
Do I need to purchase a drum kit to learn the drums?
Definitely not. Our drum lesson rooms are equipped with a drum kit for our students. Just bring your drum sticks and a notebook. Beginning students can practice at home with a drum pad and sticks for only $25.
Are there performance opportunities?
Absolutely! Every Winter and Spring, our students have the opportunity to perform on a large stage. We do not sell tickets to performances, so you can invite all of your family and friends. We offer many other performance opportunities throughout the year including community events, senior living homes, and local coffee shops.

Lessons are available six days a week, and scheduled once a week. There is an annual registration fee that covers teacher background checks, security, instrument tunings, maintenance and repairs, and motivational trophies, prizes and wristbands.

Drum Lessons
We have the drum kit and the instructors, all you need are drumsticks and practice pad to get started at home!
Group Classes
Group Piano for ages 4-6, Ukulele, Rock Bands, Voice and Show Choir- Learning together is fun!
Guitar & Bass
Our guitar instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical styles on both electric and acoustic guitars.
Violin & Viola Lessons
Our string instructors teach young beginners to experienced players- classical, pop, and fiddle too!
The Music Room
An exclusive program, for ages 4 months - 4 years old, offers music education tailored to your child's development and age and is a fun way to connect with your child.
